After considering different options, they settled on rhythmic gymnastics as the perfect pursuit. However, young Zhuk, fascinated by her older brother's unwavering commitment to tennis, developed a fear of stretching. At the age of five, Zhuk made a fateful choice: she transitioned from rhythmic gymnastics to the captivating realm of tennis.

Displaying remarkable talent, the gifted girl quickly grasped the intricacies of the game. It didn't take long for her to grace prestigious tournaments, leaving spectators in awe of her abilities and collecting numerous accolades along the way.

Astonishingly, at just nine years old, Zhuk achieved a remarkable feat-emerging victorious in the Russian tennis tour. Unfortunately, Zhuk’s older brother's athletic career abruptly ended due to a significant operation, leaving her as the sole torchbearer of sporting dreams within the family.

Zhuk honed her skills at the revered Luzhniki Stadium, training alongside other aspiring tennis stars. Their shared ambitions fostered a strong sense of camaraderie, leading to a lasting friendship with Alexandra Kuznetsova. Their mutual love for the sport blossomed as they enthusiastically cheered on their heroes at the cherished Kremlin Cup, creating cherished memories during their formative years.
